Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we participate with Medicaid, Meridian Health Plan, ValueOptions and LifeSynch.

Can I refer myself?
Yes, of course. Call us at 248-599-8999 and we’ll help you with the admission process.

Detox Questions

What are your visiting hours?
There is no visitation in detox.

How long is the program?
Detox usually lasts three to five days, but it depends on your needs.

Are we allowed outside?
Yes, of course. There is ample time for recreation. We have outdoor patios for residents who smoke. Weather permitting, there is outdoor space for volleyball, horseshoes, a track for walking, and other activities.

Are we allowed to leave?
Meridian Health Services is a voluntary program. We do not keep you against your will. We do, however, encourage you to stay and complete the program. We provide the support you need to be able to stay.

Can my family contact me?
There are no visiting hours or phone privileges while in detox. Family and friends may contact medical staff to inquire how their loved one is doing. The staff makes one phone call on the clients behalf upon entry to detox.

Residential Questions

What are your visiting hours?
Family visits occur once per week on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Meridian Health Services therapists also conduct a Family Lecture Series during this time, offering a brief educational workshop to you and your family member on a topic related to addiction.

How long is the program?
Residential treatment can be 14 or 28 days, depending on your needs and what your insurance plan will cover.

Can my family contact me?
We offer weekly visiting hours and we encourage family to visit and participate in family therapy. You will be able to use the phone to contact your family when you arrive for treatment, as well as when you meet with your counselor. There are also phones available on the residential units that you can use to call family or friends when you have recreation time in the evenings. If there is an emergency or your family needs to contact you urgently, have them call us at 248-599-8999.
